How you can sign up for the Hadley Jo Foundation 5k
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – There’s a local foundation making an impact for children and adults living with rare diseases, and it shows no signs of slowing down.
It’s been seven years since the Hadley Jo Foundation got started.
In that time, it’s raised more than $350,000 through events like the 5k Walk and Run, with help from family, friends and the community.
The best part? All the money goes directly to research. However, in the beginning, the future wasn’t certain.
Ashley Brindley, the president of the Hadley Jo Foundation, and Hadley Jo’s mother, says, “There’s so many people that deal with rare disorders. And, you know, we didn’t realize that until we were faced with that. And I remember the first thing that we found out after we received the diagnosis was there is no treatment here. And because it’s so rare, we’re not really sure what that means for long term.”
The Hadley Jo Foundation 5k sign-ups are available until Sunday Feb. 15. You can find more information on the foundation’s website.
