Hot Rods hold Baseball Camp at Bowling Green Ballpark

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thursday afternoon, the Bowling Green Hot Rods hit the field, but with a couple extra players.

The team held day one of their annual baseball camp, as little leaguers from across the area spent time working to build up some fundamental skills.
While the two-day event is sure to be a fun time for the younger kids, it also brings joy to the players who work it.
“It’s fun for me. I mean, this was what I majored in in college. Like, I always wanted to, you know, work with the younger generation, you know, keep them in sports, keep them involved in exercising and stuff like that,” Hot Rods Outfielder Ryan Cermak said.
“I remember when I was little, I always looked up to these types of players, and being able to do this now, it means a lot and hopefully they can look up to us and be the next future baseball players,” Hot Rods Pitcher J.T. Fondtain said.
