Hart Co. teacher under investigation for allegations of misconduct
HART COUNTY, Ky. – A Hart County teacher is currently under investigation.
Assistant superintendent of Hart County Schools Bo Chenoweth stated the school is currently investigating allegations of misconduct concerning a teacher in the school system.
According to WNKY News 40 partner The Hart County News-Herald, teacher Makayla Qualls is currently suspended with pay.
She is listed as a faculty member with Hart County High School.
Chenoweth shared the following statement:
“Hart County Schools can confirm that information was shared with our local sheriff regarding allegations of misconduct concerning a teacher for the school system. After receiving that report from the sheriff, superintendent Smith suspended the teacher with pay in accordance with board policy while the District conducted its investigation. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing, so the district has no further comment.”
