Hardin Planetarium to host new winter-themed show
Winter has finally arrived, and with it comes a new kind of planetary show that the Hardin Planetarium will be hosting over the course of the next month.
"Celebrations for a Long Winter’s Night" is the name of the planetarium’s new winter holiday show.
The planetarium says it will be a bright and festive show intended to illuminate the meaning behind the Winter Solstice, share some of the history behind our holiday customs and provide possible suggestions for explanations of the Christmas star.
The winter holiday show is free of charge, suitable for all ages and runs for 40 minutes, with time for questions at the end of the presentation.
The first show date is 2 p.m. Nov. 25, and there will be shows every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday throughout the month of December.
