Guns, cash and drugs seized from Edmonson County residence; two arrested
BROWNSVILLE, Ky.- Authorities in Edmonson County say they seized multiple firearms, ammunition, various drugs and cash from a residence in Smiths Grove.
The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office says their investigation started on last Monday when they responded to calls of a person driving recklessly near Otter Gap and Sulpher Roads.
Deputies say they made contact with the driver, Brittany Webb, 28, in a driveway at 82 Joseph Court.
Deputies say she was passed out behind the wheel with a 5-year-old inside.
Authorities say they noticed a pipe containing a white substance, believed to be methamphetamine in the driver’s door. Deputies say Webb attempted to destroy it when she exited the vehicle. Deputies also say Webb admitted to smoking methamphetamine in the morning and when she was driving home from Bowling Green with her child.
Webb was arrested and charged with numerous crimes including first-degree wanton endangerment, possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
Later that evening, a search warrant was executed at the residence. Inside, investigators say they found numerous long guns and handguns, ammunition, suspected methamphetamine and suspected methadone pills. Deputies also say they seized cash, scales and other drug paraphernalia.
Webb was additionally charged, along with Derik Bledsoe, 38, with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-methamphetamine and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance-drug unspecified.
Bledsoe was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Webb and Bledsoe are lodged in the Hart County Jail.
