Glasgow units respond to early morning fire at Kountry Kitchen

GLASGOW, Ky. – Multiple units responded to a structure fire in Glasgow early Thursday morning.
According to the Glasgow Fire Department, units were dispatched at 6:57 a.m. at 754 W. Cherry St., the location Kountry Kitchen.
Upon arrival, the department says crews observed light smoke coming from the structure.
Personnel say they located the fire within the wall and ceiling of the kitchen.
The fire was quickly extinguished, the department says.
The department says the fire is believed to have originated in the wall due to a electrical short and is currently considered unintentional.
No injuries were reported.
According to the department, moderate to heavy fire and water damage affected the kitchen of the business, while the basement sustained flooding.
Glasgow firefighters were assisted on scene by Barren-Metcalfe EMS and the Glasgow Police Department. Glasgow units remained on scene for one hour.
