Glasgow Police Department hosts annual Faith and Blue Event

GLASGOW, Ky.- Dozens gathered during fall break for the third annual Faith and Blue event on Friday, fostering community spirit in Glasgow.

Prayer and pizza set the stage as residents of Barren County came together for an afternoon filled with prizes and fun. This national event provides a unique opportunity for people to connect with local police officers in a positive environment.

Captain Ashley Jones of the Glasgow Police Department emphasized the importance of these interactions, stating, “This is a more positive interaction. We want families to come out and get to know us behind the badge.”

By facilitating these connections, the event aims to strengthen relationships between law enforcement and the community. Attendees enjoyed engaging in multiple activities.

For those who missed this year’s Faith and Blue, there’s good news: the Glasgow Police Department will host the event again in the future.

News 40 will provide updates, ensuring everyone can be part of this gathering next time.
