Glasgow man sentenced for child sexual abuse material charges

BOSTON – A Glasgow man was sentenced on Wednesday for child sexual abuse material offenses on the dark web.

Scott Allison, 59, of Glasgow, Kentucky was sentenced to 15 years in prison in a federal court in Boston followed by five years of supervised release, according to a release by the Department of Justice.

In April 2021, authorities say Allison was identified for posting links to images of boys as young as 2 years old. Authorities say these offenses involved a website on the dark web.

Later that year in November, authorities say a search of Allision’s home located a hard drive containing around 130,000 images and videos of child sexual abuse material.

Authorities also say they found around 108,000 posts to child pornography websites saved on his computer, along with a box of diapers, children’s underwear and other materials.

Allison was initially charged by criminal complaint in November 2021 in the western district of Kentucky, authorities say, before being indicted by a federal grand jury in Boston in December that year.

He pleaded guilty in September 2023 to one count of advertisement of child pornography.
