Glasgow man injured after car strikes motorcycle, police say

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow man is injured following a collision involving a motorcycle and passenger car, police say.

The Glasgow Police Department says on Wednesday, police responded to an injury collision at the intersection of North Jackson Highway and Country Club Road.

According to police, the driver of a 2011 Chevy Impala was traveling northbound on North Jackson Highway when she looked down briefly at her phone before looking back up. At this time, police say a 2017 Indian motorcycle was slowing to a stop, and the driver of the Impala was unable to avoid a collision, striking the back end of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle operator, Danny Young of Glasgow, was transported to T.J. Samson Community Hospital by Barren/Metcalfe EMS for treatment of his injuries. An update on Young’s condition has not been released at this current time.

The driver of the Impala was not injured.

This incident remains under investigation.
