Glasgow Fire Department extinguishes home fire

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Friday evening.

Fire Chief Lucas Tinsley says firefighters responded to a structure fire at 107 Highland Park at 9:40 pm.

When units arrived, they observed light smoke and flames in the home’s front window. The fire was located in the kitchen.

Firefighters extinguished quickly. The kitchen sustained moderate damage.

Fire Chief Tinsley says the fire likely originated around a microwave. The department believes the fire was accidental.

No injuries have been reported.
