Glasgow Airport taking on more traffic while Bowling Green undergoes repairs

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Airport is taking on a little bit more traffic while the Bowling Green Airport is undergoing repairs.

Staff in Glasgow say they’re able to accommodate every kind of plane except for major commercial, and they want the community to know they’re available as a second option so people don’t have to drive to Nashville or other areas to fly out of town.

“The next closest airport to Bowling Green is probably 2 to 3 times the distance of Glasgow’s airport… and a couple of them don’t have quite the highway infrastructure that we have here around Bowling Green & Glasgow,” Sam Chambers, Chairman of the Board for Glasgow Airport says.

He hopes that more people are aware there’s a secondary option, and if Bowling Green has to undergo further repairs, there’s always a second option just outside of town.
