Girl Scouts introduce new cookie, start sales

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Girl Scouts have begun cookie sales for the year and are introducing a new lemon-up cookie.

The wonderful thing about supporting your local Girl Scouts is that you get a tasty treat while the next generation of young female entrepreneurs get an important taste of what it takes to be successful—teamwork, planning, and a positive outlook.

“I was a Brownie Girl Scout and incidentally my mom was my girl scout leader and the time we would spend together, that was invaluable. I wouldn’t trade that for anything,” said Felicia Bland membership development specialist for Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana.

Not only do the girls get to grow and learn together, but they also get to build confidence that can last them a lifetime.

“I get to hang out with my friends more and we get to talk more and learn the stuff together,” said Kaylee Coleman, Girl Scout.

Proceeds from your purchase stay local, which helps to narrow the entrepreneurship gap

And, the girl scouts are introducing a brand-new cooking flavor called lemon-ups.
