Georgetown man charged with rape involving 15-year-old he met online

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A 26-year-old Georgetown man has been arrested after police say he allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a minor he met online.
According to a citation, Louisville Metro police received a call Monday morning about a vehicle speeding up and down the road before it parked in the area of Euclid Avenue.
Police say they approached the vehicle and found Bryce Burns, 26, of Georgetown in the back seat with a female. The citation states when asked why they were inside the vehicle at that location, Burns told police they were watching a movie.
Police say the victim was partially exposed in the back seat.
The victim told police Burns told her to tell officers she was 18, according to the citation. Upon investigation, police say the victim was 15.
Police say the victim told them she met Burns on the mobile Wizz app and that her profile showed she was 15. In addition, police say the victim says she believed Burns was 17 years old.
The citation states the victim told police Burns engaged in sexual acts with her.
During the investigation, police say Burns was “yelling at the victim to stop talking to police.”
Burns was arrested and faces charges of third-degree rape, third-degree sodomy and intimidating a participant in a legal process.
Burns was taken to the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections.
