Garden Spot 5K Run to impact roads in Simpson County on Saturday
SIMPSON COUNTY, Ky. – The 42nd annual Garden Spot 5K Run/Walk is kicking off in Simpson County this Saturday.
If you will be traveling through the area, it may impact your commute.
From 7 to 9:15 a.m., many downtown streets will be closed for the run, hosting over 700 participants.
This will cover most areas from Kentucky Street to Highway 1008 between Highway 31-W and High Street.
Simpson County Emergency Management asks that if you live on this route, ensure your vehicles are off of the street.
If you need to leave during this time, residents are being asked to plan to park outside of the area. Many volunteers will be manning the access control points to keep traffic off of the route.
