Free Narcan, Opioid Rescue Kits available for several local counties

GLASGOW, Ky. – Life-saving tools are available for several local counties thanks to funding awarded to T.J. Regional Health and the Barren, Hart and Metcalfe Allies for Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition.
The groups purchased 960 doses of intranasal Narcan and 15 Opioid Rescue Kits through the 2024 ASAP and Harm Reduction Grants, according to a release by T.J. Regional Health.
Now, the Opioid Rescue Kits and Narcan doses are available for free to businesses, community organizations and individuals in Barren, Hart and Metcalfe counties.
Training opportunities on proper use of Narcan are available to the public upon request.
