Franklin woman wins $50,000 on Kentucky Lottery Scratch-off

FRANKLIN, Ky. – A Franklin woman is celebrating a $50,000 win from the Kentucky Lottery.
According to a release by the Kentucky Lottery on Thursday, Fannie Eubanks of Franklin won the sum on a Millionaire Club Scratch-off ticket last month.
Lottery officials say Eubanks said she bought the ticket on July 23 at the Circle K on North Main Street in Franklin.
When asked what made the scratch-off ticket stand out to her, lottery officials say Eubanks said she had recently won $200 on that same game.
After buying the ticket, Eubanks scratched it off at home, gradually revealing the full prize, the release says.
“I saw that first prize and kept scratching, and it kept on rolling!” she said.
She said the first person she told was her brother, who accompanied her to claim her prize.
Later that afternoon, Eubanks took home $36,000 after taxes.
She says she doesn’t have immediate plans on how to spend her winnings but will be saving it for now.
Circle K will receive $500 for selling the winning ticket.
