Franklin man sentenced for drug trafficking and illegal firearm possession
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Franklin, Kentucky man was sentenced Tuesday to 10 years in prison in relation to drug trafficking and firearm offenses.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky, 27-year-old Corey Kaiser “knowingly and intentionally” possessed and intended to distribute over 190 grams of methamphetamine in October 2021.
Officials say Kaiser also had three handguns that day.
Kaiser was not allowed to possess the handguns due to formerly being convicted of possession of a schedule II-controlled substance to sell (methamphetamine, greater than .5 grams), officials say.
The ATF Bowling Green Field Office and the Franklin Police Department investigated the case.
