Former Greenwood coach brings local athletic facilities to life in cornhole sets

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One former Greenwood High School girls’ basketball coach may no longer be on the court, but now he’s designing them.
Zach Simpson owns a local business called Bowling Green Cornhole and has recently begun bringing local high school courts and football fields to life on his boards.
Now a 4th grade math teacher at Dishman McGinnis Elementary, Simpson spends his free time expanding his cornhole business, and with a large number of orders dedicated to custom sports designs, he wondered how he could make local sporting events more personable in the Bowling Green area.
After starting to make these boards by hand just four years ago, Simpson shared what drives him to create these specialized cornhole sets for the community.
“ I really like making personable gifts for people,” Simpson said. “Anybody can play cornhole, you know, all the time. People love to play and it’s something people play in their backyard, something that people play all the time. I love to create a very personable gift for somebody. That’s something I’ve always really enjoyed.”
You can check out the rest of Simpson’s sports-themed cornhole sets plus a variety of other custom designs at Bowling Green Cornhole.
