Food truck owner speaks on economic stress

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The economy is making many people anxious these days, especially small business owners.

News 40 spoke to long time food truck operator Patrick McKinney, who recently took to Facebook gauging his fellow entrepreneurs’ performance this year.

McKinney said that post he made caused his inbox to explode all with similar answers – that this year has been disappointing.

McKinney told us that many of his small business friends feel the upcoming election has a lot to do with the drought they’re seeing in the food truck community, and it’s been a disheartening year, but he’s confident things will come back around.

He also said to always try and support local businesses, as they are people who will feel changes to the economy almost immediately.
