Florida men charged with theft of mail matter in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Two Florida residents have been charged in connection with mail theft in Warren County.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office says it responded around 12:48 a.m. Saturday to Kingston Heights apartments for a mail theft complaint.

Deputies say the caller told them a Silver 2020 Toyota Camry with Florida tags was seen stealing mail from a mailbox at the front office.

Authorities say they found a vehicle occupied by people fitting the given description.

Deputies say they conducted a traffic stop and searched the vehicle, where they say they found multiple checks written to various apartments in Kentucky and West Virginia, including Lexington, Winchester, Bowling Green, Elizabethtown and Wilmore, Kentucky.

Both Didier Almagro Toledo, 26, of West Palm Beach, Florida and Adriel Morales, 37, of Miami, Florida, were taken to the Warren County Detention Center.

They faces charges of theft of mail matter, possession of stolen mail and possession of burglary tools.

Deputies say multiple agencies received complaints about suspected thefts. The investigation is ongoing.
