Fishing Day for youth to be hosted at Basil Griffin Park

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren County Parks and Recreation is teaming up with Cabela’s to sponsor a catch and release fishing day next week.

On Saturday, Oct. 12, youth ages 3 to 15 are invited to gather at Basil Griffin shelter 4 near Jesse Thornton Lake to learn how to go fishing.

An educational session will be held at 8 a.m., while the fishing day will kick off at 9 a.m. and last through noon.

Participants must have a valid fishing license and bring their own rods and reels.

Live bait will be available onsite.
