First local Texas Roadhouse opens its doors

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The first Texas Roadhouse in Bowling Green opened on Monday on 3353 Nell O’Bryan Court off of Scottsville Road.

Many residents attended the ribbon cutting for the casual dining restaurant. Some of their most popular dishes include hand-cut steaks, fall-off-the-bone ribs and fresh-baked bread.

WNKY News spoke to the manager, James Walrath, who said they chose Bowling Green as one of their locations because it’s one of the fastest growing cities in Kentucky.

They currently have over 260 employees, and they expect to keep growing. Walrath said they have a great team and can’t wait to serve the community.

“We’re very excited to be able to come to the community. Emotion-wise, me and the management team and the trainers, we are full of energy, excitement, and we’re just ready to get things rolling and going for everyone.”

Walrath said they had been working to get this location going for the past ten years.
