First ever Bowling Green Impact Awards held Tuesday night
BOWLING GREEN, Ky – On Tuesday, the first annual Bowling Green Community Impact Awards were hosted by Bowling Green Neighborhood and Community Services.
The event celebrated individuals, businesses and organizations that help make the Bowling Green community a better place.
The catered event also recognized various accomplishments made throughout the Bowling Green area.
Neighborhood and Community Services presented several awards, including the Catalyst for Change Award and the Legacy Impact Award, which were given to the families of the late Abraham Williams and Michael Murphy.
“We like to let community members, citizens and neighbors know how much we appreciate the partnership between city government and individuals to make our community great,” said Bowling Green Community Engagement Division Manager Leyda Becker. “We couldn’t do the work that we do as a city if it wasn’t for the partnership of neighbors.”
Becker says the bonds built throughout the community are what make Bowling Green strong, and events like Tuesday night are a testament to those relationships.
