Firefighters respond to fire at home in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Fire Department confirmed a fire broke out Thursday at a Glasgow home.
After firefighters responded to the scene at the 300 block of Columbia Avenue, fire officials say they found smoke coming out of the roof.
Crews searched the home and did not find any victims, fire officials say.
The fire department says crews were able to find the fire and put it out in the kitchen.
Fire officials say the fire was determined to be accidental, but it has not been confirmed if the cause had human or electrical factors.
The fire department says after being on the scene for about one and a half hours, the property was turned back over to the homeowner.
Firefighters were assisted by Glasgow police, Barren-Metcalfe Ambulance Service and Glasgow Electric Plant Board, Glasgow Water Co. and Atmos Energy.
