Federal grant awarded to Southern Kentucky Community & Technical College

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Around $1.3 million is coming to Southern Kentucky Community & Technical College which will fund their TRIO program, a federal effort to assist students for the last 60 years.

TRIO, meant to serve first generation students who might need financial assistance or maybe have a disability, providing a little extra support to make sure everyone has a chance to succeed.

Dr. Chris George who directs the program said that government investments in education are important and play a great part in building America back better.
