Farmers RECC expects power restoration by Thursday evening

GLASGOW, Ky. – Farmers RECC says customer power outage numbers have further reduced as of Wednesday evening.
As of 7 p.m. Wednesday, the company says outages have been reduced to approximately 120 members.
“We are getting close to complete power restoration, and we know these final members are anxious to have their power resorted,” the company stated.
Farmers RECC says barring any major complications, it expects to have all power restored to members who can receive service by Thursday evening.
“As a reminder, this stage of the restoration process can be slow due to the nature of the member per outage ratio, which is approximately only three members per outage. At this stage, crews may work hours on an outage that restores service to only a few members,” the company stated Wednesday.
The company further stated crews could be working several miles away on an issue that ultimately restores power, so while they may not be immediately visible, they may be tackling an issue nearby.
As of Wednesday morning, Farmers RECC said it has 31 crews comprised of over 70 individuals working across the entire service territory.
Farmers RECC says it wants to reassure members who may feel forgotten that crews are working around the clock until service is fully restored.
The company also asks neighbors to continue looking out for one another, especially those who are older or medically vulnerable.
