Family-fun evening next Saturday at Scare on the Square

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.-Next Saturday is going to be an evening of family-friendly Halloween fun with the annual Scare on the Square! 

From 3 to 6 p.m. downtown merchants will be handing out candy and other fun gifts to trick-or-treaters. 

There will also be a costume contest, food trucks, a performance by the Fountain Square Players, and a DJ! 

Last year thousands of people attended. Organizers say this year will even top that. 

“Last year it was so successful we ran out of candy. I had to run over to Dollar General and get candy. This time we’ve had boxes and boxes of candy delivered. And it’s the good stuff, like the Snickers and the Resee’s Cups,” said organizer Jim Sears. 

After the fun ends on the square at 6, you can head over to the SoKY Marketplace to watch the Goosebumps movie at 7.
