Enhanced security measures to be at ticketed SKyPAC events starting Sept. 20
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Arts of Southern Kentucky is making safety a priority for future events.
According to a release by Arts of Southern Kentucky, starting Sept. 20, the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center, or SKyPAC, will have enhanced security in place at all tickets events.
In the statement, Arts of Southern Kentucky says, “Your safety and the safety and well-being of our guests, artists and staff is our top priority. Considering recent tragic events and the evolving security climate, we are taking proactive measures to ensure that all visitors to the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center feel safe and protected during their time with us.”
The measures will include but not be limited to:
- Increased presence of uniformed security personnel throughout the facility.
- Enhanced screening processes, including bag checks and the use of metal detectors at entry points.
- Restrictions on the size and type of bags allowed into the venue. Only clear bags no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” will be admitted.

The release says these steps are for creating a safe and secure space without compromising the atmosphere of SKyPAC events.
“We understand that these measures may require adjustments to your routine, and we appreciate your cooperation as we prioritize everyone’s safety,” Arts of Southern Kentucky states. “We are committed to providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our patrons and will continue to monitor and adjust our security procedures as necessary.”
Arts of Southern Kentucky says safety remains it’s highest concern as it welcomes guests to upcoming events.
