Edmonson County Sheriff’s Department investigates property destruction of fence

EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky – On Sunday, Edmonson County deputies were dispatched after a vehicle drove through a fence and fled the scene.

Deputies with the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office were able to recover parts from the vehicle, which helped them locate a serial number and determine the vehicle was a gray Nissan made between 2023 and 2025.

According to the sheriff’s office, the property owner estimated the damage at up to $5,000.

“We’re asking anyone in the community who sees a vehicle matching that description, especially body shops or mechanic shops that may have seen a damaged vehicle, to contact the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office,” said Deputy Sheriff Truman Waddell.

“If the suspect is watching this and sees this, just come on out and do the right thing,” he added.

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing.
