UPDATE: Edmonson County sheriff locates missing woman

Update: The woman has now been found according to the Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office.


BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – The Edmonson County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a missing woman.

Sheriff James Vincent says Mary Ann Vaughan, 72, was last seen near Brownsville.

Vincent says Vaughan spoke with her sister and could be near Cave City, Clarkson, or Clarksville, TN.

Vaughan has dementia and told her sister that she did not know where she was. Vincent says Vaughan’s phone is out of battery and believes her car has run out of gas. Vaughan drives a 2014 four-door black Kia Soul with tinted windows. The license plate is 634-XYK.

Vaughan weighs 170 pounds, has green eyes, and has gray hair. She was last seen wearing gray or black athletic pants and a short-sleeve black shirt.
