Edmonson County High School unveils new gym floor

BROWNSVILLE Ky.-When the Wildcats of Edmonson County High School return, they’ll have a new resource to take advantage of.

The school’s gym floor has been revamped for the first time in 20 years. The gym now has a brand new sleek floor, and September 9th was the first day it could be stood on.

The idea was brought up to the school board by Superintendent Brain Alexander, where it was then approved. It then took around 2 weeks to complete.

School staff say they look forward to students using this new resource, and they’re hoping it boosts morale.

“Anytime your facilities look good, it raises morale. Getting them back in the building and seeing their excitement on the new floor is going to be very awesome,” said Edmonson County High School Principal Jonathan Williams.
