Easterfest celebrated at Bowling Green Ballpark ahead of season kickoff

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Hot Rods celebrated Easter in a unique way this weekend.

The team hosted three different Easter egg hunts based on age groups in the outfield of Bowling Green Ballpark.

Over 30,000 eggs were laid out for kids to find. The Easter Bunny and Roscoe also stopped by to get pictures with families.

With just days until opening day on Friday, April 5, News 40 spoke to the general manager of the Hot Rods, who told us how exciting an event like this is this close to the season.

General manager and COO Kyle Wolz says, “We’re excited…six days away till opening day. Friday, April 5 at 6:35 p.m. Another community event at the ballpark, gearing up for the season. Great to see everybody and hope to see them next Friday.

The first 1,000 fans to the stadium on Friday will receive a replica of Bowling Green Ballpark.

Plus, the first fireworks of the season caps off the night. First pitch for opening day in Bowling Green is set for 6:35 p.m.
