Duncan Hines Days brings festivities to Russell Sims Aquatic Park
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – On Wednesday, folks got to cool off and enjoy the summer sun at Russell Sims Aquatic Park for an event during Duncan Hines Days.
Duncan Hines Days celebrates the legacy of Hines’ favorite things: food, entertainment and togetherness.
Families and kids enjoyed festivities at the water park, including a special concession menu that brought Hines’ cuisine to life. Corn dog bites, hot honey pizza and Oreo churros were all fan favorites.
The drop of over 1,000 rubber ducks was also a big crowd pleaser.
Aside from the excitement, it’s about giving families a chance to experience the fun Bowling Green has to offer.
Cameron Levis, division manager at Bowling Green Parks and Rec, says that its special for all departments in the city and county to “come together to plan a week full of fun for the community.” He believes it “speaks volumes” about the area and its people who are “willing to come together for the sake of just making this a wonderful place.”
Duncan Hines Days is almost halfway over. However, there are still lots of fun opportunities to come.
