DSSKY returns to basketball court for annual Hardwood Heroes

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Saturday was a busy day for Bowling Green, with the day starting off at Bowling Green Junior High School.

Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky celebrated World Down Syndrome Day with this year’s Hardwood Heroes.

The basketball game featured the WNKY Blue Team and the Texas Roadhouse Yellow Team, with the Buddies taking to the court for a great game.

There was back and forth scoring, with the final score of 40-36, seeing the Blue Team take home the trophy this year.

All of this coincided as the perfect celebration for World Down Syndrome Day and the 30th anniversary for Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky.
