DSSKY member Shelly Rogers releases new cookbook

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A new author has stepped on the scene in Bowling Green, and the book that’s out can make a massive impact.

Shelly Rogers, a member of Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky who has been a chef most of her life, is now the author of her very own cookbook, “Where Angels Have Walked.”

All the funds she raises for selling the cookbook will go toward expanding the DSSKY building. This book not only gives Rogers the chance to show love to others, it also lets others know how much they are loved.

Stephanie Morton, the executive director at DSSKY, tells us, “This book is an example of Shelly’s determination. She is a go-getter, and I think that it also it reflects upon her faith and her love.”

The author’s journey with cooking goes back generations, and she has hundreds of recipes to prove it. Rogers says, “There are lots of recipes in this cookbook. I would say more than anything.”

You can support Rogers and DSSKY by purchasing the cookbook on Amazon.
