Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky seeks federal grant

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Down Syndrome of Southern Kentucky is hoping to build a new buddy house soon with the help of some federal monies through the Americans with Disabilities Act.

After purchasing some property in 2022, the nonprofit started to raise capital funds in order to build a bigger facility for their growing number of students as part of a 10 year master plan.

Stephanie Morton, executive director of DSSKY said if they’re able to get a new build from this grant, it would launch their plan forward a whole 7 years.
