Down Syndrome Awareness Ride in support of DSSKY

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-Motorists gathered at the National Corvette Museum Saturday morning to prepare for the Down Syndrome Awareness Ride.

This event was held in support of the organization Down Syndrome of South-Central Kentucky and was made possible by Texas Roadhouse assistant kitchen manager Stephen Bohm.

At the museum, food services such as Tin Roof Coffee and Texas Roadhouse were set up, and the event included raffles, and a silent auction of artwork. Those who registered received a t-shirt and were entered to win 2 tickets to the Toby Keith concert at the Bowling Green Ballpark later that night.

DSSKY executive director Stephanie Morton says she’s thankful to Stephen and the community for their support of the organization.

“What this community does for us, I’m very grateful for it. It’s immeasurable what they do for us. What they contribute allows us to touch so many lives and continue our mission. There’s almost no words to put it to how much the community means to us,” Morton said.
