Donations being gathered after first responder lost in drowning at Barren River Lake

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A Kentucky fire and EMS department is sharing how you can support a family after the loss of a Louisville first responder this week at Barren River Lake.
Kentucky Fish and Wildlife public information officer Cody Fox confirmed a drowning took place at the lake on Monday.
The victim, 35-year-old Christian Smith of Louisville, was a sergeant paramedic with Anchorage Fire and EMS.
The department says Smith “cherished his children, his wife and the members of Rescue 33 and the entire department.”

According to the fund page, donations will go to Smith’s wife and three young children.
