Fatal Crash

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Troopers are investigating a fatal collision in Warren County.

Kentucky State Police Post 3 public affairs officer Katan Parker says troopers responded to a fatal collision at the 14.4 mile marker on I-165 northbound at approximately 2 p.m.

According to a preliminary investigation, troopers say a gray 2021 Toyota Corolla driven by 31-year-old Alberto Alejandro Alamo Ramos of Hialeah, Florida was traveling southbound on I-165.

Troopers say Ramos’s vehicle exited the left side of the road, crossed a grass median and entered the northbound lane. His vehicle then collided with a black 2020 Toyota Tacoma driven by 47-year-old Ryan Rutman of Owensboro.

Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County coroner.

A passenger in Ramos’s vehicle was transported to The Medical Center at Bowling Green, along with two other passengers of Rutman’s vehicle.

All lanes were shutdown between Morgantown and Bowling Green earlier this afternoon.

The investigation is ongoing.
