Daylight saving driving safety tips
BOWLING GREEN Ky. – With daylight saving winding back the clocks this weekend AAA East Central gave some tips on how drivers can remain safe when their commutes become much darker.
Spokesperson Lynda Lambert recommends ensuring that you are getting enough sleep at night and making sure that especially brake, lights and batteries are in good working order on your car. She also recommends to always be on the lookout for deer and pedestrians.
“Use your headlights if at all possible, because that allows you to see pedestrians and it allows them to see you. Watch your speed, increase your your following distance. So you have plenty of time to react in the event of something suddenly happening.” Lambert said.
Lambert also suggests purchasing a roadside emergency kit so drivers are always prepared for inclement weather and road conditions.
