Crash involving school bus reported in Warren County

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County Public Schools bus was involved in an accident Tuesday morning.

According to Warren County sheriff Brett Hightower, a call came in reporting the collision at 7:02 a.m. Hightower says a vehicle slid on wet pavement into the path of the school bus, and a collision occurred at the scene.

Hightower confirmed that 26 students were on the bus at the time, and minor injuries were reported.

In a statement, WCPS says substitute bus #2732, running on its regular route, was involved in the accident on Sunny Side Gott Road.

First responders, along with WCPS officials, responded to the scene.

WCPS says parents and guardians have been contacted.
