COVID Relief Takes Center Stage

With the impeachment trial of President Trump behind them, lawmakers are turning their attention to COVID-19 relief. NBC's Tracie Potts reports.

(NBC News) — With the impeachment trial of President Trump behind them, lawmakers in Washington are turning their focus to COVID-19 relief.

A vote could come as early as next week, with or without Republican support.

The Democrats’ proposal includes billions for schools, which the Centers for Disease Control says should be spent on ventilation.

The agency says improving classroom ventilation, wearing masks, and vaccinating teachers should get kids safely back to class.
