Construction on Glasgow road set to begin Thursday

GLASGOW, Ky. – A Glasgow road is set to be under construction.

According to Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management, tile replacement construction will begin on Mt Pleasant Road on Thursday.

Officials say the project will be done in phases. Construction will be from 8 am through 3 pm daily.

Phase 1 will be between Roseville Road (KY-249) to Coomer Road. Officials say residents will need to plan a detour. The roadway will be closed at the point of construction. No thru traffic will be permitted.

Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management will update motorists and residents as the construction enters new phases.

Officials ask that all motorists operate vehicles with extreme caution, as crews will be working and heavy equipment will be present.
