Community members make an effort to pay it forward to First Responders

Bowling Green, KY.- If you are a first responder, or want to honor the first responders in our area, you might want to check this out. On Saturday, April 20, 2024, a free community cookout will take place to honor the work that first responders do every day in our community.

The event is free, but donation buckets will be in place, and any proceeds will be given to the family of Bowling Green Police Officer Matt Davis after he was injured in the line of duty last year, and his son was recently involved in a car accident.

Owner of Foundation Solutions group, Shaun Miller, says, “We want to return those blessings back to the community because I think there’s a lot of things that happen behind the scenes or maybe not in the forefront of people’s minds. It just seems like there is a lot of craziness in the world today and everything like that, but we just want to go back to the basics and say thank you, and do what we can do to show our appreciation to those people that help this community run.”

The cookout will be at the Foundation Solutions Group warehouse, at 790 Bristow Road from four to six p.m.
