Community Education receives check from Crocker Law Firm for Teen Angel program

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – At Starbucks on Scottsville Road, representatives from Community Education and Crocker Law Firm were on hand to present a check from the donation blast date a few weeks ago.

The program raised over $13,000 on that blast day, which Crocker will match, bringing the grand total to over $26,000.

In the past, Starbucks locations around the region have taken part in this huge donation day, coming from as far as Paducah and Clarksville, Tennessee to help raise money, but the one thing that keeps the program going is those in the community.

“It’s local helping local teens, and that means even more about this program and why for us, I think it’s been so successful is because it truly supports teens in the Bowling Green and Warren County area,” said Joshua Smith, Teen Angel Coordinator for Community Education.

The money will help coordinators at Community Education shop for nearly 350 students this year, getting gifts for those who may not be the easiest to shop for.

Smith thanks the community for their support, and he says you can continue to help them out by stopping by their office on Westen Street. They accept cash, check, credit card or PayPal.
