Clear the Shelters results in over 570 adoptions for month of August

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The results are in – Clear the Shelters resulted in hundreds of adoptions in August.

Rescuers say a total of at least 577 animals have been adopted during this year’s event.

Shelters who participated this year included the Bowling Green – Warren County Humane Society, Hart County Animal Shelter, Barren River Animal Welfare Association, Butler County Animal Shelter, Metcalfe County Animal Shelter, Sugarfoot Farm Rescue and Arabian Rescue Mission.

Some additional adoptions are still being counted at the Butler County Animal Shelter.

According to a release, Clear the Shelters has helped more than 860,000 pets find new homes since 2015.
