2 students dead after Clarksville-Montgomery County School bus crash

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Two students are dead after a Clarksville-Montgomery County School System bus was reportedly in a serious collision in Carroll County, Tennessee.
According to the school district, the bus was transporting a group of students and employees from Kenwood Middle School to Jackson, Tennessee for a field trip on Friday, March 27.
During a press conference, the Tennessee Highway Patrol confirmed two students were pronounced dead at the scene. Those identities have not been confirmed.
Overall, Tennessee Highway Patrol officials say the bus contained 25 students and five adults.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol states the crash occurred between the bus, a TDOT dump truck and a vehicle off of Highway 70.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol says the TDOT truck did not appear to have any contributing factors to the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
