City workers participate in health fair

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Hundreds of city employees showed up to the annual health and wellness event today at Bowling Green Parks and Recreation.

This event featured vendors from different health and wellness businesses around the city as well as an annual health risk assessment done by City Care.

Graves Gilbert, the Medical Center, B-G-P-R fitness, and more set up tables to educate attendees about health and wellness.

This event is funded through the city’s Employee Health Fund and is geared toward employees of the city of Bowling Green and their spouses.

“The City of Bowling Green takes health seriously and want our employees to have the resources for them to be healthy and for them to have healthier lifestyles. So, we want to make sure that we encourage them to attend events like this to learn more about health,” said Lori Gray, the City of Bowling Green benefits manager.

Additionally, nearly 120 flu shots were also given at the event.
