GLASGOW, Ky. – The City of Glasgow celebrates a major milestone in May.

On Friday, May 10, The City of Glasgow will host a 225th anniversary celebration. The community is coming together for a birthday party to showcase the city’s rich history.

The event will be at 5 p.m. on the Glasgow Public Square. The city will celebrate with family-friendly entertainment, activities, live music, and food trucks. City Hall will be serving birthday cake to attendees.

Historian Sam Terry will discuss the city’s past and events that shaped its identity.

The event will be capped off with a free concert at 7 p.m. featuring Glasgow Highland Games favorite SevenNations.

Glasgow mayor Henry Rose believes this event captures the spirit of the community.

“We are incredibly proud and excited to celebrate our city’s 225th anniversary,” said Royse. “This event is a testament to the vibrant spirit and unity of our community. We invite everyone to join us on this special occasion and be a part of Glasgow’s history in the making.”
