City of Bowling Green takes on TikTok marketing trend

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The city of Bowling Green’s Public Information Division recently hatched an idea that would take their social media to the next level, getting in on a viral trend.

On TikTok, a very popular trend right now is “Gen Z writes the script” where an older person gives a tour or small pieces of information about their business or organization using terms Gen Z and younger would use. City officials have decided to participate as it’s meant to engage a younger audience and get people talking more about city services.

City workers when asked to help out with the fun and informative idea were happy to, saying “if it gets people to laugh or click on our website, I think it’s a win all around”.

The videos can be watch on the city of Bowling Green’s Facebook page or Instagram where they’re actively putting out videos with city services like the parks and rec department and public works.
